Thank you for joining us on this journey to REMARKABLE…A Blog and upcoming Podcast for Entrepreneurs that will be challenging, practical, resourceful and inspiring for those who have set their goals high, and are willing to work “outside the box” to make those dreams a reality.

I have been traveling this road to “Remarkable” as a business woman for 31 years now, and have been blessed to meet many incredible Entrepreneurs along the way.  These people have met with both success and failures along that road, and we are going to find out just what worked for them, and some things that didn’t.  I have always been someone who asks a lot of questions, and am so fortunate that most of my colleagues have been willing to share their story. I am truly a boots-on-the-ground retailer, who deeply enjoys working with other stores and watching them be successful.

My passion is to inspire and help smaller local retailers who are struggling every day to bring people in the door and give them some real world steps to building a REMARKABLE business!  I feel that this is where I bring the most value to the “TRIBE” of great business people that I have worked with. As you may or may not know, our retail store {Adrians Boutique} is located in the teeny tiny town of Buhler, Kansas. Population: 1200 people, yet we daily draw from a radius of about 2 hours in any direction. Almost every client that comes in the door has driven at least 12-20 miles to get there. This doesn’t happen by accident, and as you are well aware, it takes a constant stream and variety of marketing to be successful.

What can you expect when you subscribe to this blog?
None of us have any time to waste, and just like when I am running or attending a meeting, I don’t want to waste yours!  You can expect new posts every Monday and Thursday that are addressing issues that business owners face every day. From methods and tools for “Building your TRIBE” ~ Email Marketing, Social Media for Retailers and Business Book Recommendations to practical advice like how to create a marketing calendar or form your own Mastermind Group, we’ll talk about daily life in the world of Entrepreneurship.

Along the way we’ll also introduce you to Store Owners, Entrepreneurs, Authors and Business people from several different industries that we feel are truly “REMARKABLE” in their chosen field.  What are they doing TODAY that is making their business successful? One of the biggest blessings in my life has been to meet incredible entrepreneurs as we travel through small towns or enjoy a meal at a tiny little diner that is just rocking in some remote location. As someone who is very inquisitive, I always like to find out their story…what brought them to this place, what is their history, and how can I learn from them?

Podcasts are a great way to reach Entrepreneurs wherever they are in the journey and I am personally very drawn to Podcasts, because I can listen and learn while doing many other things.  This probably comes from my childhood of listening to Zig Ziegler on cassette tapes whenever my parents were driving in the car, and I am definitely an alumni of Zig’s “Automobile University 🙂 ,” having logged hundreds of listening hours of business podcasts and audible books. I am also a woman of MANY words and tend to write novels rather than 140 word twitter posts or short Facebook status updates, so Blogging and/or Podcasting seems like it will be a good fit for me!

Speaking of Facebook and social media, I would love for you to join other Remarkable Retailers on our Facebook Page for ongoing conversations on business right now! What if you’re a restauranteur, insurance salesman, marketing director, involved in another industry and not a retailer? You’ll still find excellent business advice and conversations with many other “Remarkable Entrepreneurs”.

As you can see, I could go on and on, so will choose to end today with one parting piece of advice from Brian Tracy, author of the fabulous book Eat That Frog: Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done.  (Yes, you should order this book!)

Practice the philosophy of continuous improvement. Get a little bit better every single day.Brian Tracy

Welcome to the conversation! ~Vicki
